ERASMUS+ VOICE: ACCOGLIENZA GRUPPO FRANCESI E UNGHERESI, SCUOLE ACCREDITATE ERASMUS

APRIL 19 – 24

From April 19th to 24th, 2026, our school had the pleasure of hosting 12 students from Budapest and Puy-en-Velay, a small town in south-eastern France in a joined Erasmus+ short term group mobility of students.

Each visitor was paired with one of our students, who did the absolute best to make our guest feel as comfortable and welcome as possible. By staying in their partners' homes, the visiting students were able to experience a culture very different from their own and immerse themselves, even if for a few days, in a completely new lifestyle.

The program was very rich and intense. Many workshosp and activities were organised by our Erasmus teachers team to support our exchange experience in an authentic way, far from frontal lesson and classroom environment, but within school spaces and with school mates.

Together, we visited Aquileia and Grado, and of course, we couldn't miss out on a "scavenger hunt" through the center of Udine.

We took part in some fascinating activities, such as a chooking workshop and chocolate tasting at the Cocambo pastry shop in Aquileia, where we even had the chance to get our "hands in the dough" and try making it ourselves. It was really interesting to work in teams and learn how much food means culture tradition and family to all of us.

We also wrote and read our “Love letters to ourselves of the future”. We worked on the fact that thinking at the future is a good habit we all can train and despite the hard times we are living, we shold never lose hope for our future.

Another very interesting workshop was the Digital and Viedo storytelling project. This was a stimulating activity that challenged us and ,for some of us, revealed a new passion: video making and picture shooting. Divided into small groups, our task was to create a short video using photos and clips to represent the Erasmus+ mobility experience we were living and sharing all together. Teams could chooce a topic, based on the “excpectation suitcase actrivitiy” we did to prepare ourselves for the Mobility and the most chochen topcs were: friendship, memories, and carpe diem. Students were explained by a professional video maker and vloger, (also former Zanon student and Alunmi) With the guidance and advice of an expert, we edited some truly unique videos, some very touchy.

Our final evening concluded with a friendly group dinner in one of the most famouse pizzerias in Udine and the awards for the best movies.

We shared unforgettable moments together, and we look forward to collecting even more during our return trips to Hungary and France in the autumn of the next school year.

Without a doubt, this was a challenging and exacting experience. It forced us out of our comfort zones and required us to test our limits. Naturally, there was a bit of anxiety and fear at the beginning, but in the end, we transformed those nerves into positive energy and made the most of these fantastic days together.

This kind of experience helps us grow; it reveals hidden sides of our personalities and teaches us to adapt to change, the unexpected, and the unplanned.

This experience is not over yet, but we are already grateful and satisfied with how far we have come.

Thank you, Erasmus +, thankyou Zanon school and teachers for supporting us in these experience and thankyou EU for funding us.

From April 19th to 24th, 2026, our school had the pleasure of hosting 12 students from Budapest and Puy-en-Velay (a charming town in south-eastern France) for a joint Erasmus+ short-term student exchange.

Each visitor was paired with one of our students, who did their absolute best to make our guests feel at home. By staying with local families, the visiting students experienced a culture different from their own and fully immersed themselves in a new lifestyle.

The program was intense and full of variety. Instead of sitting through traditional "frontal lessons," our Erasmus teacher team organized workshops and activities within the school spaces to make the experience feel authentic.

We explored the region together, visiting Aquileia and Grado, and we had a great time during a "scavenger hunt" through the center of Udine. Some of the highlights included a Cooking Workshop at the Cocambo pastry shop in Aquileia, where we participated in a chocolate tasting and got our "hands in the dough" to make our own biscuits. It was fascinating to see how much food represents culture, tradition, and family for all of us.

Another meaningfull experince was the writing and reading of Love Letters to our Future Selves. We practiced the habit of thinking positively about the future. Despite the difficult times we are living in, we learned that we should never lose hope.

One of the most stimulating activities was the “Digital and Video Storytelling Project.” This project challenged us and even revealed a new passion for filmmaking in some students.

Divided into small groups, we created short videos to represent our Erasmus+ journey. We were guided by a professional videomaker and vlogger (who is actually a former Zanon student!). We chose themes like friendship, memories, and "carpe diem" to tell our stories. The final results were unique and, in some cases, very moving.

Our final evening ended with a friendly dinner at one of the most famous pizzerias in Udine, where we held an "awards ceremony" for the best movies. We laghted and stayed together with these new European friends.

While the week was challenging and pushed us out of our comfort zones, we managed to turn our initial anxiety into positive energy. This experience helped us grow, revealed hidden parts of our personalities, and taught us how to adapt to the unexpected.

We are already looking forward to our return trips to Hungary and France this autumn!

A huge thank you to Erasmus+, the Zanon school, our teachers, and the EU for funding this life-changing opportunity.
